The long pathway (3000km) begins at Cape Reinga in the North Island and finishes at Bluff in the South Island. The trail passes through Glenrock via the Clent Hills Track. The trail follows its way up the Glenrock stream towards Turtons Saddle. From there it passes the A frame and Comyns Hut. It then embarks towards the Lake Heron area. Spectacular views can be had of the Rakaia, Wilberforce and Mathais Rivers when you venture uphill.
