Glenrock is 1½ hrs drive west of Christchurch International Airport and 40 minutes from Methven and the Mt Hutt Ski Area turn off. From the Inland Scenic Route (State HighWay 72) turn onto Blackford Road which is on the south side of the Rakaia River and Glenrock is a further 35kms from the turnoff which is signposted to the Hakatere Conservation Park.
