Also known as the Cookshop, this was the original shepherds' quarters which was moved up on posts from the homestead in 1945. This original structure has seen many renovations with the latest in 2006 consisting of new bathrooms, fresh paint and new carpet.
The Cookshop is very warm and comfortable, has a log burner and an open living/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully self-contained with dishwasher, microwave and all the amenities you need for a very comfortable stay.
The Cookshop is set amongst a variety of English trees with stunning views down to the river. There is a sandpit for children in view of the main outdoor area and a hammock for those who want to relax in the sun.The Cookshop has 6 bedrooms and the house is fully fenced.
The Cottage was built in 1968 and is a very warm and comfortable 4 bedroom cottage with an open fire, log burner, fully self-contained kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and a spacious living area. The cottage is surrounded by sweeping lawns and mature trees and it's only a short stroll down to the river from this great house.
Tariff:
$100 for the first two people per house per night.
$25 per extra person per night (Bed linen can be arranged $10 per person)

Methven - the nearest town is located 45km away and has a great range of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as 2 supermarkets, a chemist, medical centre and a great range of retail therapy including craft shops and an art gallery. Well worth the visit if civilisation beckons...
